Here is my adaptation of the tale "The Elves" by Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm (1785-1863).

A poor shoemaker receives unexpected help from two elves one night. They save him from poverty. To reward them, the shoemaker and his wife give them pretty little clothes as gifts. The elves, delighted to no longer be cold, return to the North Pole to rejoin their great king.
